Does taking a parent / head office account off 'On Hold' take the child / branch office accounts off 'On Hold'

Does taking a parent / head office account off 'On Hold' take the child / branch office accounts off 'On Hold'

Question

What do I need to do to take child / branch accounts off On Hold when the parent / head office account is taken off 'On Hold'?

Answer

In Service Release 1 of 7.02.01 taking a  parent / head office account off 'On Hold' automatically takes child / branch accounts off 'On Hold'.  In versions 7.02.01 and earlier, each child / branch account has to be taken off 'On Hold' manually

To summarise:

  1. If you put a parent account ON Hold, that is also applied to all child accounts.

  2. If you take the parent OFF Hold, that is also applied to the child account.

  3. If you want the parent not On Hold but the child On Hold, you would need to put the Child On Hold manually.

  4. Taking the child Off Hold does not automatically take the parent Off Hold.

  5. If the child account is set to Inactive, then no transactions can be created for that child regardless of On Hold status
