How does enabling the Warehouse Transfer system setting EnablePicking effect warehouse transfer outwards forms?

 

Answer

Activation becomes a 2 stage process, not just one. It is usually applied when a client has office staff create the warehouse transfer and warehouse staff pick the stock and send it out.  This is particularly effective where serial numbers / batch numbers are involved. Office staff usually complete Quantity Ordered and warehouse staff the Quantity Trans.

This setting only applies where an In Transit warehouse is used. If the additional step is not required, simply un-tick the setting and save the changes.
