Split a stock line

My stock transaction has S.O.H. of 85, but I want to split 20 of these out to a new line.  For example, to move part of the line to a different bin location, or to revalue only part of the stock on a Cost Price Update.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open the inventory item in Inventory Maintenance

  2. Navigate to S.O.H. tab > Transaction Detail

  3. Double right-mouse click on the S.O.H. quantity you want to split

  4. A pop-up dialog will appear 'Select Quantity to Split out'

 

5. Enter the quantity to be split out and click OK

6. A new line is added for 20 and the original line is reduced by 20

7. Save.

Now you can change the bin location on the 20, or change their cost price or add a special price, write them off, return to supplier etc. etc.
