Jiwa fails to launch
Sometimes when you click on the Jiwa icon, nothing happens. Jiwa fails silently.
This is caused to a corrupt JiwaConnections.xml or invalid permissions to the JiwaConnections.xml.
The Event Viewer may display the following errors:
Each user has their own JiwaConnections.xml file. You will need to open Windows Explorer and search for '%appdata%'. The file should appear here: c:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Jiwa Financials\JiwaConnections.xml. (Where Username is the username of the staff member you are logged in as).
Sometimes the file will display with Size of 0KB and be blank if you open it in Notepad.
Sometimes the file will appear normal.
To fix the error, copy a JiwaConnections.xml file from the directory of a user who is working, then paste it into the file location for the user that isn’t working. Over-write the faulty file.
