Unable to create a Demo database on SQL 2016

Problem

Versions of Jiwa prior to 7.00.166.00 cannot create a Demo database on SQL 2016

Solution

Follow these steps:

  1. Import the demo database to the sql server by using "Import Data-tier Application" in sql management studio.  The file to import is at %JIWA INSTALL DIRECTORY%\datafiles\jiwademo.bacpac

2. If that works successfully and creates the demo database, Open Jiwa 7 and upgrade the database by selecting databases and Upgrade

3. Create a new Jiwa database connection by opening Jiwa 7 and clicking connections and Create a new connection

4. Log onto the demo database as normal.
