Where the number of rows on IN_Main (Inventory items)  X  number of rows on IN_Logical exceeds 1,000,000 the upgrade process may timeout when running script 7.0.165.40 and 7.0.165.50.

Solution

A script has been developed to address this issue and is attached to this article.  Follow these steps if you think the upgrade will time out based on the number of inventory and warehouse records or if it the upgrade has timed out.

  1. Backup the database

  2. Start the upgrade process 

  3. At script 7.00.165.40 click Stop

  4. OK to the message 'Are you sure you want to stop this process?'

  5. Click Close to exit out of the upgrade screen

  6. Run the SQL script and wait until it's completed

  7. Start the upgrade process again

  8. Click yes to the message about the incomplete upgrade and upgrade will now continue to completion
