Before embarking on using SMTP with Office 365, read this article.

Intermittent errors emailing using Office 365 as an SMTP server

  1. Enable the 'Email - Configuration SMTP' plugin 

  2. Enter the System Settings > System Configuration > Email - configuration SMTP tab information 

  3. Enter the SMTP and user details under System Settings > Staff Configuration > Staff Maintenance - Email Settings section

     
     

  4. Test by opening System Settings > Email > Email Maintenance and sending an email.
