Documents Tab

Any type of document can be attached here. This can be done either by using the look-up button on the grid, or by simply dragging and dropping the document onto the grid. 

 


Type

The "Type" of the document can be selected here. Document types are defined in the Document Types form.

Description

Here the user can provide a brief description of the document.

Filename

This is the original file-name of the document (as it was when it was attached).

Last Modified Date

This field indicates the last time that the document was edited (or added).

Last Modified By

This field indicates the user that last modified the document entry.


Once attached to the record, Documents can then opened, emailed as an attachment or extracted. Right mouse anywhere in the line and select from the menu. 

 


Extract To

Allows you to save the document to a different directory and file name

Extract To same directory

Allows overwrite

Open

To view the document in the program it was created in

Email as Attachment

Opens an Email Maintenance record, attaches the document to the email and needs you to complete the email information e.g. From, To, Subject etc. Saving sends out the email and saves a copy of the email in the Email Maintenance form under System Settings -> Email -> Email Maintenance.
