Barcode scanner is dropping the first character when searching for sales order numbers
Barcode scanner is dropping the first character when searching for sales order numbers
Problem
Using a bar code scanner to read in a sales order number in the sales order Invoice No search window is dropping the first character of the sales order number.
Solution
You will need to un-tick the 'Select Keyed Search Text after search- option in in the User Settings tab of Staff Maintenance. This is the way the 'Typmatic' function works on the cell. We have tested with the setting switched off and the scanner input works as expected.
System Settings > Staff Configuration > Staff Maintenance
Load relevant staff record and select User Settings tab
Untick the check box for Select Keyed Search Text after search
Save changes. User is to re-log in for changes to be applied
