For each item on order Jiwa calculates when the item could be expected to be received from a particular supplier.
The expected receival date is calculated at the time of creation of the order. It is calculated as the logged in date plus the number of delivery days. The number of delivery days is obtained from the Supply tab of the inventory item. Each supplier of one item can have a varying number of delivery days. And even each supplier's warehouse can have a varying number of delivery days.
In the example below, Sam Computer & Office Supplies takes 2 days to deliver from its main office and 10 days to deliver from it's Artarmon warehouse. Other suppliers can have different delivery days for that one product.
The user's logged in date is displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen.
There are other dates on the purchase order header.
Once Jiwa has calculated the expected receival date of each item, it populates this date in the Expected Receival Date column for each item on the purchase order. Each item on the order could potentially have a different expected receival date if they have different Delivery Days.
The user may need to make this column visible on the grid. The dates are then editable, for example, if the user is aware of a delay in shipping, the calculated date can be over-ridden by the user. The date can be edited after the status of the PO is set to Sent.
Once the expected receival date has been calculated, it is now visible on the Inventory Maintenance form for each item.
Refer to the Order > On Order tab. This date is not editable because it is a display of the Expected Receival Date on the PO. Therefore any changes to the date on the PO will be reflected here.
