Locating and correcting errored journal sets

Errored sets occur in relation to accounting journals when a journal is processed and there is at least one error with the journal. 

System Settings

System Settings apply to this function:

  1. Ledger > SaveErroredSets - saves journal as errored set without posting the journal for later correction. Without this setting turned on, journals will not be saved or posted unless they are valid.

  2. Ledger > WarnWhenErroredSetsExist - displays a warning message when opening General Ledger > Journal Transactions > Journal Sets if errored journal sets exist in the database

 

Errors include:

  1. Journal not balancing

  2. Posted date is not in an open accounting period

  3. Missing ledger account

To locate errored journal sets, Open General Ledger > Journal Transactions > Journal Sets and you will see the error message:

In the filter for the Journal Sets, select the Errored Sets filter.

Press the search icon and the list of errored sets will appear.  Go through each set and view the error message displayed on the journal set form and correct the journal.
