Problem

Running the DB GL Reconciliation report for Current Year 1 to 12 and Next Year period 1 to 12 can give a different closing Current Year figure to the Next Year open figure.

Solution

SQL skills are required

A working knowledge of SQL Management Studio is required to complete this task.

The underlying stored procedure usp_JIWA_Debtors_DebtorsAndGeneralLedgerReconciliation was calculating opening balance date to the minute instead of to the second, which meant some transactions slipped through unaccounted for.
