The client has multiple printers in use and want to be able to default the closest printer to each user so they don't have to change printers.
Step-by-step guide
Printing is controlled by Print Groups and the easiest way to manage this situation is to create a different group for each user or group of users.
- System Settings > Print Group Maintenance
- Create printer groups for each user (or group of users) by copying the Default Printer Group and renaming the new group appropriately
- Logical Printers tab - select the relevant printer from the Physical Printer Name on This Machine and make sure Default is ticked
- System Settings > Staff Configuration > Staff Maintenance
- Select a user from the search window
- User Settings tab and select that users print group
- Save the changes
- Repeat as needed
