Errors are reported when managing the grid custom columns in search windows 'Width must be between -1 and 9999999'

Problem

Where Use Custom Columns settings is switched on and the settings in Manage Grid are changed, saving the changes reports an error - 'Width must be between -1 and 9999999'

Solution

The Use Custom Columns feature is not supported in search windows.  The issue has been logged for review in a release post 7.00.175 under DEV-5704.  Turn off Use Custom Columns in the search window
