Saving changes to permissions in the sales order form errors 'Cannot insert duplicate key row ...SY_UserGroupPermissions...'

Problem

Setting permissions in the Utilities tab of sales orders and saving the changes errors with the issue

Solution

The problem is caused by the Sales Order Customer Panel being enabled.

To allow changes to sales order permissions to be saved, do he following


  1. System Settings > Plugins > Plugin Maintenance

  2. Load the Sales Order Customer Panel plugin and disable it

  3. Save changes and log out

  4. Log back in and set the permissions needed in the sales order form and save changed

  5. Load the Sales Order Customer Panel plugin and enable it

  6. Save change, log out and log back in again
