How to get started with ASPluris for Jiwa WMS

Here are some of the key things you need in place to get scanning in your warehouse.

  1. Install the latest version of Jiwa and associated REST API plugin. You must be on at least SR18 or higher

  2. Bin Locations loaded in your Inventory > Warehouse Configuration

  3. Scannable barcodes on all your racks in the warehouse

  4. Warehouse staff loaded as Jiwa users in Staff Maintenance. There is no need to assign a Jiwa licence if they don’t log in to Jiwa

  5. Barcodes entered against your Inventory items

  6. Barcodes entered against your Units of Measure. Cartons usually have different barcodes to units

  7. Set the default bin location on all your inventory items - this is your pick-face bin
See https://jiwa.atlassian.net/wiki/x/GoCqFg for plugin to import these

  8. Install the Advanced Search plugins for Sales Orders and Purchase Orders. The Sales Order Search will give you the easily accessible history status drop-down

  9. Document your workflows from Ready for Picking to Dispatch/Freight and Invoicing; Receiving to dock or bin; etc.

  10. Identify label printing requirements.
