Contact Groups
Groups are used by all 3 entity types - Debtors, Creditors and Contacts. It’s a single list that applies to many. Even if you open Groups from the Creditors Configuration menu, you’re simply opening the same Groups form as from the Debtors Configuration menu.
When you apply a group to a debtor or creditor, it’s automatically applied to the linked contact record.
If you apply a group to the contact record, it’s also automatically applied to the linked Debtor/Creditor record.
What are Groups used for?
Groups are used for defining a default sales rep for sales orders made against the debtor; for sending statements in batches; and reporting Contacts; reporting industries. These are some examples.
