To control access to commercial sensitive data, inventory costs can be hidden from users / groups of users.  In Jiwa, the ability to control who has access to viewing inventory costs is implemented with a with a User Group called "Hide Costs Template" and is shipped standard with new and upgraded databases post 7.00.157.  It is set to read only and is backward compatible to 7.00149 and 7.00.157. This way, we can update the template through upgrades as required.  Attach the group to relevant users and all costs are the hidden.

Step-by-step guide

Add the steps involved:

1. System Settings > Staff Configuration > User Group Maintenance
2. Select Hide Costs Template from the search window
3. Copy the template, give it a new name, tick Enabled tick box and save
4. System Settings > Staff Configuration > Staff Maintenance
5. Select staff member from the search window and click User Group tab
6. Select the new template from the search window and save.  Costs are now hidden from the user

Note:  For databases at 7.00.149 or 7.00.157, import the attached template into the User Group Maintenance form and save.  Follow steps listed above
