Potential Breaking Changes

A previous service release, 07.02.01 SR 15, introduced a potential breaking change to plugins which extend the REST API.  As this Service Release, SR20, includes those changes upgrading to SR20 may expose you to breaking changes.  See the breaking changes section of the Jiwa 7.02.01.00 Service Release 15 article for details.

It is also advisable to update the REST API to the version shipped with SR20 - see the section below on Obtaining the latest REST API.

Warning

Stop Jiwa Services and close Jiwa applications

Before installing, you should ensure any applications or services using Jiwa components - such as the Jiwa Plugin Scheduler Service, or the Jiwa REST API are stopped. The installer will set the Startup Type to "Disabled", so it's important to note that after the installation is completed you should set your Startup Type - preferably to "Automatic" and then restart the service again.

Make sure there is no Jiwa Application (Jiwa.exe) running on the machine or an error may occur "Error writing to file" or similar.
